The
Area
The countryside surrounding Leworthy Farmhouse
The North Cornish and North West Devon is considered by many
to be the most unspoilt in the South West, with greatest contrast
in scenery. Bridges over slow-flowing rivers, village churches,
old farmhouses, hamlets, sandy coves, rocky outlets, picnic
spots, a wide variety of flora and fauna, distant views of
Bodmin and Dartmoor.
Parts here are steeped in Arthurian legend and have always
been a magnet for great authors and poets, such as Daphne du
Maurier, Thomas Hardy, Rudyard Kipling, Sir John Betjamen,
Charles Kingsley, and Ted Hughes, who all felt the draw of
this place irresistible.

The coastline here is rugged, romantic
and awe-inspiring, a favourite with walkers and lovers of
nature.
